The costs associated with a given survey project are determined by the nature and complexity of the survey work required. Often, a reasonable estimate of fees cannot be determined until the land surveyor has had occasion to:

  • search the Title

  • research historical records

The complexity of the survey is influenced by many factors including:

  • the topography of the land

  • the time of the year in which the survey is to be conducted

  • the age, history and type of original monumentation

  • the construction of roads, buildings or fences and other development since the last survey

It is strongly recommended that you discuss all components of the survey with your land surveyor before the work is undertaken so that you fully understand what will be involved and the basis for the fee that will be charged.
